Our company is looking for a mechanical engineer specialized in robotics. Main mission: provide technical support to the various TRANSITION INDUSTRIAL actors involved in the field of automated quality control (A-QC) in information and operational technologies (IT/OT) for the industrial sector so that projects are implemented in compliance with deadlines and quality control and ensure customer satisfaction.

Profile

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field (technical degree and equivalency by years of experience possible)
  • Relevant work experience of approximately 5 years
  • Knowledge of automation (e.g., FANUC robots, Omron PLC, etc.)
  • Programming knowledge (e.g., Python, C#, C++, etc.)
  • Comfortable communicating in both English and French, orally and in writing
  • Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and resourcefulness
  • Customer-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the A-QC information technology and operational technology (IT/OT) service offering by creating or optimizing robot trajectories for our customers’ quality control, off-line simulation, and assistance in the mechanical design of jigs adapted to digitization and integration
  • Integrate TRANSITION INDUSTRIAL systems during the installation of robotic solutions on customer sites by playing a coordinating role, as needed, for the various stakeholders
  • Ensure robotic programming, mechanical assembly, and validation tests during the commissioning of the solution
  • Participate in the implementation of various design and development projects in information technology and operational technology (IT/OT), including automation and robotization
  • Support the sales force with simulations, technical advice, solution definitions, demonstrations, and technical validations
  • Participate in the various stages of product development in information technology or operational technology (IT/OT)
  • Contribute to the technical writing for the creation, updating, and revision of documentation
  • Provide training on specialized products and software in the field of automation and robotization
  • Act as a technical resource person at sales and marketing events (trade shows, product launches, exhibitions, etc.)
  • Provide support to the service team on robotic applications (remotely or on customer site)
  • Create, prepare, and conduct technical workshops for internal training events
  • Travel internationally
